Generosity Day!

Today, February 14th is Generosity Day! Well, yes, it is also Valentine's Day, but not all of us have someone to celebrate Valentine's Day with. While "causes" can be a "dime a dozen", this new "cause" to refocus February 14th is one I can certainly support!

I found "Generosity Day" on facebook and they have this to say about it; "Does Valentine's feel a bit formulaic? Let's celebrate February 14th as Generosity Day and together offer the world a million acts of simple kindness. Generosity Day is simple, It's one day of sharing love with everyone, of being generous to everyone, to see how it feels. It's a chance to practice saying 'Yes'. Let's make the day about love, action and human connection - because we can do better than smarmy greeting cards, overpriced roses and stressed-out couples trying to create romantic meals on the fly. The goal is to spend Valentine's Day cultivating your practice of generosity, because in today's fast-paced world, it is too easy to be disconnected and to have 'No' be your reflex. For Generosity Day, all acts of generosity, small and big alike, count. Think what it would be like to say 'YES' to every genuine request for help all day long! It's about creating more generosity in the world and becoming a more ope person along the way."

Consider some of these ways to be generous . . .

These are just a few ways we all can be generous! So, whether  or not you have someone to celebrate Valentine's Day with, let's all take this day to focus on being generous to others!
