Summer Reading - Little Raccoon Learns to Share - I'm Giving One Away!

There are many important lessons our grandchildren need to learn; one of them is to be people who share. I have always made a point of telling my grandsons we love to share and celebrating every time I "catch" them sharing! So, when Sterling Children's Books sent me Little Raccoon Learns to Share to review, I was happy to read it to the boys!

Little Raccoon Learns to Share
Author - Mary Packard
Illustrator - Lisa McCue
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 3-5

Favorite Features -
  • Wonderful, colorful illustrations - make the story even better!
  • Story about sharing provides opportunities to talk with your grandchildren about how and when they can share with others
Little Raccoon Learns to Share combines cute little animals and important lessons and wraps them up in a story children will enjoy. Sterling describes the story in this way; "One day,, Little Raccoon is berry-picking when along come her friends. She knows if they see her, the'll want to eat some of the berries and she worries there might not be enough left for her. So Little Raccoon hides behind a bush! Will she keep the berries for herself or discover how much fun sharing can be?" Can you see why I like this book?

I'm very happy to say, not only did Sterling Children's Books send me one Little Raccoon Learns to Share for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away! (USA only) If you are 18+ you can enter the drawing for this give-away, which will be on July 26th, by commenting below to let me know if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry for each way you "share" (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw a name from among people who would like to win Little Raccoon Learns to Share and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
