It Has Been a Bit of a Roller-Coaster Ride . . .

It has been a bit of a "roller-coaster ride" around here for the past few days. I had been feeling ill for about a week, but then I began vomiting and eventually ended up in the ER. After pokes, prods, scans, more scans, more pokes, the words - "liver cancer" were spoken. I admit, I was not expecting this and did "zone out" a bit.

The GI Dr said it could be cancer, but he thought it was more about my Auto-immune illnesses and a ERCP scope (tube down the throat) was scheduled. A day later the "scope". Let me take a moment here to say my scans showed nodules in my liver. I did call my church and asked if they'd pray - they did. In fact, on the phone they prayed for a miracle. As they did, I thought, "I'm not so sure I believe in miracles any more. Then I prayed and said, 'God, I do believe in You and if a miracle is an option, I would appreciate it.'"

Well, back to the scope. It was completed and the dr. met with my dear husband and told him there was nothing in the liver from which he could take any biopsies. Nothing there! The scans showed nodules, but now there was nothing there! He went on to say it is PSC - related to auto-immune illnesses and I'm waiting this morning for them to come and tell me what is next - but it is not liver cancer and I am SO extremely thankful.

If you are not so sure you believe in miracles any longer or have someone you love who doesn't know if they believe God answers prayer, feel free to share this.
