Today my heart is filled with thankfulness as I remember a wonderful day nine years ago which which my grands made up to celebrate; "Show Love to Grandma Day!" All three grands sat down at the table and started drawing hearts and flowers to make pictures for me, to say, "I love you!" Even my youngest grandson (two years old) wanted to get in on it all . . . he had me draw the flowers, then he colored them!
My middle grand (four years old) asked me to show how to draw flowers, then drew a bunch and colored them with a sparkly purple pencil . . . because "girls" like sparkly purple! My oldest grand (seven years old) drew angels, hearts, and flowers and signed the drawing with; "Love" at the top. Then put it on the refrigerator - where we also put my youngest grand's drawing and my middle grand said his drawing should go in my Bible, so I will see it all week! I love being grandma to these three sweet grands!Hugs, kisses and, "I love you" were abundant, and this grandma had a very happy heart! I love my grands; they are such amazing gifts from the hand of God and I am ever so thankful for them!
Yes, all of this is part of the joy of being a grandma - and I love this part for sure!
Did I mention I love being grandma? Well, I most certainly do!

These memories - and the ones we continue to build each week when they are at my house - fill my heart with so much thankfulness, so tomorrow on Thanksgiving - and every day - I will be reminded I have so very much for which to be thankful!
