Children's Day & Summer Book Review - Sometimes All I Need is Me

I love storybooks with a fun story, but when the book also has an absolutely necessary message, well, this is a book I can enthusiastically recommend. The book I'm sharing with you today is one such book - Sometimes All I Need is Me by Juliana Perdomo, published by Candlewick Press. This is a story all the children we love needs to hear - and so do we.

Favorite Features -

  • Illustrations are so colorful, full of detail, and fun.
  • I am so thankful for a story with an essential message - "I can love myself and become whatever I need. Sometimes, all I really need is me."
  • This story will encourage important conversations with the children we love.
Candlewick Press says, "Meet a young girl who loves her cozy home. It smells like cinnamon tea and feels like warm pajamas. But even when she’s away from home, and everything is different, she finds a way to become her own home, where she feels calm. At night, when it’s too dark and her feet are cold, her room can be a little scary. But she creates her own light when she closes her eyes and thinks of the sun. With friendliness and charm, author-illustrator Juliana Perdomo shows young readers how to find comfort and confidence within. Her heartwarming picture book reassures children that sometimes, everything we need—courage, joy, peace, and love—is already inside us."

Sometimes All I Need is Me is a book the children you love will love and it makes a wonderful gift for Children's Day, a birthday, or for Summer Reading Fun. You will find it at this link.
