Summer Reading - A Walk in the Park

I recently received a box of books from Kids Can Press, so this week I will be very happy to let you know about some of their new books. Today I'm writing about, A Walk in the Park by Ashley Spires.

Favorite Features -

  • Colorful illustrations
  • Story with imagination - encourages children to imagine!
Kids Can Press says, "Another hilarious picture book tie-in to the award-winning Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe animated TV series.

Binky the space cat – better known to his fellow space pets as Agent Binky – has always wondered what goes on at the dog park. His fellow agent Gordon goes there every day with Small Human, but the rest of the team, being indoor pets, aren’t allowed. Then it hits him – why shouldn’t they all be able to see it for themselves? It’s a new secret mission! They’ll go where no cat nor turtle nor goldfish has gone before! And Gordon will help them get there by designing a robot everyone can fit inside which looks and acts like a dog. What could possibly go wrong?

This laugh-out-loud adventure story is adapted from an episode of the Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe animated TV series, based on Ashley Spires’s bestselling and award-winning Binky Adventure graphic novel series. Binky is in top form here, embarking on his latest mission as only Agent Binky can!"

I'm not familiar with the Binky Adventure series, but can see where this story would make a fun animated story. If the children you love are fans of Binky, they will love A Walk in the Park!
