Don't Miss Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park this Fall!

Nearly every Tuesday my husband and I visit Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, so today I want to let you know about some of their new exhibits and special events which are starting so if you live in, or are planning to visit, the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, you will be able to plan to visit this amazing place - and bring your grands with you if you are able to do so!

First, the new exhibit . . . "Mums at Meijer Gardens" - "An annual celebration of autumn, Mums at Meijer Gardens is the largest exhibition of its kind in Michigan, featuring expansive chrysanthemum displays, fall foliage and family-friendly activities."

In addition, starting on Tuesdays throughout October you will also be able to enjoy their "Glow Garden" - "Explore our popular Gwen Frostic Woodland Shade Garden, an illuminated forest of majestic trees and mystical meadow grasses and logs. Featured are incredible glowing hand-etched pumpkins by local artist Alynn Guerra, of Red Hydrant Press. Joining the pumpkin-carving fun this year are artists Rebecca Rodriguez, of Foiled Again Press, and Lisa Lin Olsen.", and their Autumn at Meijer Gardens, Michigan's Farm Garden - "Down on the farm family fun awaits, including food trucks, pumpkin carving demonstrations, music, and a vibrant harvest of heirloom vegetables, herbs, gourds, and larger-than-life pumpkins.", and Autumn at Meijer Gardens, Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater - "Enjoy local music, seasonal snacks, adult beverages, and hot cider." All of these are available for you to enjoy on Tuesdays until 9 PM throughout October!

They have another new sculpture - "Nick Cave’s art is deeply rooted

—in his family, in community, in craft, and in nature. His work is also grounded in concerns of social justice. The power of Amalgam (Origin) stems from this fertile mix; a blend of the personal and communal, exceptional and traditional." This sculpture is amazing and you will want to see it for sure!

And, if you are able to get over to Meijer Gardens today - October 5th, you will also be able to enjoy their Fall Bonsai Show from 11am to 5pm - "See a variety of bonsai on display, from trees in early stages of training to lovely older trees. Watch bonsai artists at work and shop for bonsai trees as well as bonsai tools and supplies."
