When it comes to cookies my family tends to favor the "classics" . . . chocolate chip-peanut-butter-oatmeal, plain chocolate chip or plain peanut-butter cookies. But every once in a while I like to try something different and this recipe, which I found on Pinterest, is certainly one I'd like to try! After all, what could be more "yummie" sounding than orange butter cookies?!!!! And what could be a better time to try them than National Cookie Month?
Just follow the link and you'll find the recipe . . . for a child-friendly version, leave out the Grand Marnier. These cookies are perfect as a special treat to brighten someone's day, so have your grandchildren help make them and then take them to someone who could stand to have their day brightened - and tomorrow is Do Something Nice Day, so it would be the perfect day to make and share these cookies! Making cookies is always a fun thing to do with grandchildren and when you combine it with an opportunity to give to others, well, you then have the opportunity to help build a tradition of caring for and giving to others!
