It is National Cookies Month, so today I'm very happy to share with you a delicious recipe for Chocolate Kisses Surprise Inside Cookies!
I use the Peanut-Butter Blossom cookie recipe in my Better Homes and Garden's Cookbook, the "tweaks" I found from the Hershey's kitchen (you'll find it at this link). I substitute butter for the shortening for a softer and more flavorful cookie. Refrigerate your mixed cookie dough for one hour and then put a chocolate kiss in the middle of each cookie; cover with more dough; seal the kiss in the dough and bake for ten minutes. When the cookies come out of the oven, flatten the kiss a bit! Cool and enjoy!
Have you ever made cookies with chocolate-hazelnut spread before?
