If you have been reading grandma's cookie jar for very long, you know I like to share with you silly holidays and special days . . . after all, when it is chocolate day, or pie day, or cookie day, or donut day, or ice cream day, who wouldn't want to celebrate with the ones we love???!!!
They also gave the following:
Grump Out goals:
- To help people better understand the connection between negative attitudes, stress and health.
- To see America give themselves permission to be friendly, playful, supportive, and loving for just one day.
- To lighten up our planet and reduce unhealthy stress through humor.
- To have FUN!
Sounds like a great idea to me, so let's celebrate, "The Great American Grump Out Day" . . . today - even though it is not really the Great American Grump Out, because really, why not celebrate it every day! After all, we want our grandchildren, children, family, friends, neighbors, people we run into as we go through our day, etc, to see us as people filled with joy; not grumpy people! Let's model for our grandchildren what it means to be joyful, not grumpy - more than just one day a year! Enjoy!
