Thoughts From a "Lost Canadian" About Alberta

When you think of Alberta, like this "Lost Canadian", you may think of the Canadian Rockies and be familiar with places in Alberta such as Calgary, Edmonton, and Banff, but as amazing as these places are, there is SO much more to discover about how incredible Alberta truly is!

  • Alberta is made up of the Rocky Mountains, the Great Plains of North America, the Canadian Badlands, glaciers, and Boreal Forests.
  • It has badlands, which are home to the world’s richest site of dinosaur bones.
  • Alberta became a province of Canada in 1905. Before this, it was a part of the North West Territories.
  • The area now known as Alberta has been inhabited by various Native American (First Nations) groups for at least 10,000 years.
You will find my full post about Alberta at this link.
