Thoughts From a "Lost Canadian" About Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve

If visiting the only area in the world protected from the mountain top to the sea floor sounds like something you would enjoy doing, then a visit to Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve off the Northern coast of British Columbia, Canada, is absolutely the place you want to go! Today I am very happy to let you know about this truly unique and amazing place!

• Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve is often called, "Canada's Galapagos"!
• I covers over 1,500 square kilometers of land as well as 3,400 square kilometers of ocean.
• The name Gwaii Haana translates to "Islands of Beauty" in the Haida language.
• Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve contains monumental cedar poles and ancient longhouse ruins at five archeological sites—including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of SG̱ang Gwaay (Anthony Island).
