I think National Parks should be a place where you can see and experience things you may not typically see and experience in your day in and day out life. Today I'm happy to let you know about Terra Nova National Park which is absolutely a National Park where you are able to see and experience things you do not typically see and experience!
- Terra Nova National Park spans 400 square kilometers of eastern Newfoundland.
- It has a Visitor Centre in the Newman Sound area, which features a marine touch tank, aquariums, and a wharf where you can spot ocean wildlife like seals and whales.
- Terra Nova National Park is home to diverse species, including moose, black bears, lynx, the rare Newfoundland marten, and abundant ospreys.
- It is a prime spot for sea kayaking, where you might see dolphins, orcas, and whales swimming alongside large, floating icebergs.
- Ten hiking trails range from kid and wheelchair-friendly nature strolls to challenging treks.
