Thoughts From a "Lost Canadian" About Even More Canadian Trivia!

This "Lost Canadian" has been learning a lot about Canada - it's Provinces, Territories, National Parks, and even some fun trivia, so once again today, I am happy to share even more interesting facts - trivia about Canada with you - some of these also made me smile and some also made me think - "Wow! Impressive!"

  • Canada has the world’s smallest jail – in Rodney, Ontario; it’s only 24.3 square m (270 square feet).
  • Canada has 198 jails.
  • Another one of the fun and interesting facts about Canada is that the license plate for cars, motorbikes and snowmobiles in Nunavut is in the shape of a polar bear.
  • Canada is the largest producer of uranium in the world.
  • Canadians can deduct a number of things from their tax software, but I bet you didn’t know that dog food is tax-deductible in Canada.
  • Canadians like to finish a sentence with the word eh. 
  • Canada’s literacy rate is over 99%. Extremely impressive!
