If you live around or near Grand Rapids, Michigan, then next Saturday and Sunday (August 29th and 30th) are the days which give you your opportunity to get out and enjoy some amazing flowers at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and attend their Dahlia Show! Admission is free for all. Meijer Gardens collaborates with local plant clubs every year to launch a collection of flower shows. Each show is free and open to the public.
In an article from mlive about the show a couple years ago they said; "This show features dahlia horticulture, seedling, and artistic arrangement displays submitted by the West Michigan Dahlia Society and other local society members.
“What’s amazing about this show is you have some tiny blooms which look like little pom-poms to some very large blooms which are as large as a dinner plate.”
