National Cookie Month - So Let's Make Cookies!

 

Yes, October is National Cookie Month, so let's make cookies! Today I have a tasty recipe which you may never have tried before - Lemon/Lime Honey Butter Cookies – gather the children you love and enjoy making - and eating these cookies - you will need . . .   

• 2 Tablespoons lemon or lime juice
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 3/4 to 3 cups flour
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1  cup softened butter
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon lemon or lime peel
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions –

11.      Mix everything except for the flour for two or three minutes until well blended.

2.      Add flour and mix well.

3.      Dough will be sticky – use two spoons to drop onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper for best result.

4.      Bake for eight to ten minutes at 375 degrees

5.      Let sit for a minute, then move to cooling racks and enjoy!
