Today is National Pretzel Day, so I thought it would be a good day to share a recipe I found on Pinterest. After all, what could be more fun than making homemade ham and cheese pretzel bites to celebrate National Pretzel Day?

If you are looking for a craft you could help your grandchildren make for their mom for Mother's Day, consider this one I found on Pinterest . . . wind chimes!!! They will be able to decorate the clay pots however they like - just give them permanent ink pens . . . yes, I know the potential for getting ink on them is quite high, but you'll be able to remove or cover their shirts and have anti-bacterial hand gel available because a little of this takes ink off of hands . . . and arms . . . and faces . . . pretty much any skin which they may get ink on! And yes, they are more likely than not to get ink on their skin!

One of my favorite devotions from the Grandmother's Biblewas written by Bobbie Wolgemuth and is entitled, "I Will . . I Will . . ." She says, "Psalm 9 contains a great 'I Will' activity list to remember when you spend time with your grandchild. First, start with an attitude of praise. Tell the Lord what you are thankful for. Count your blessings, name them. It will be easy to have a heart full of thankfulness after you've named even a few. Your heart will be full and running over with the kind of attitude which pleases God and spills over on the young ones with the love of the Savior.
Do you have a special song you sing to your grandchildren - especially as a lullaby? When my grands were little I sang, You are My Sunshine . . . or at least my version of the song! I've changed it a bit . . . "♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ You are my sunshine, my sweet sunshine. ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ You make me happy, all the day! ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ I love you forever and for always! ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪ You are my sunshine today! ♫♪♫♪♫♪♫♪"
Do you, or a mom you love, have trouble getting around? Have you noticed a decrease in your abilities due to medical challenges or age and see how this impacts your mobility? If so, have you been looking for things which will help you with your mobility challenges? If so, then I encourage you to take a good look at the Miracle Mobility 4N1!
As I've mentioned a time or two - or likely many more . . . I love photos of my sweet grands! I also loved to do tracings of their little hands when they were little, so when I saw this craft I absolutely fell in love with it! It makes a great, personalized, and unique way to frame a photo!

Do you have any flowers growing in your yard which give you a sense of happiness to see them in bloom? I live just 30 minutes from Holland, MI - home of the Tulip festival, and as you might imagine, tulips are a big deal in this area. Pretty much everyone around here has tulips which bloom in their flower gardens - even people like me who have the "black thumb of death" when it comes to growing plants!

Mother's Day is just a few weeks away, so if you are looking for a gift to give a mom you know, consider giving them the gift of "why" with the new book - the little answer book. This little book will give them "whys" to share with the ones they love - to equip them to have a confident faith, and to have important conversations with the ones they love who have turned away from their faith.
I've been sharing some Mom "trivia" I found on-line before Mother's Day, so I thought today it would be fun to share some animal mom fun facts! Did you know . . .

Praying for our grandchildren (and children) is something we all know we need to do, but it is also something with which many of us struggle. We may feel like our prayers do not even make it through the ceiling above us and do not know what to say or how to pray. Our lives are busy, so finding the time to pray can be a challenge which we may not overcome and then days go by without us spending time in prayer.
Now this has to be a great gift idea for mom . . . Chocolate Chip Lip Balm . . . and, it is one you could help your grandchildren make for their mom!!! I found the recipe on Pinterest and most of the ingredients are pretty simple items you may already have at your house . . . and you can likely find the beeswax at a local craft store!
Mother's Day will be here in a few weeks, if you are looking for a great gift idea for the moms/grandmas in your life, consider giving them this book.
Have you ever wondered, or been concerned, if you might be spoiling your grandchildren? Well, worry no longer, because it is impossible to spoil your grandchildren! If they were truly, "spoiled" we would have to throw them away, and of course we would never do such a thing! It is, however; possible, and highly likely, you will "well-love" them. Take heart! God sets the example for us of what it looks like to do this, because He absolutely well-loves us! When we follow God's example, we will understand both the joys and responsibilities of handing down a heritage of faith to our grandchildren.
