November is Family Stories Month, so it is a great time to gather your family stories and share them with your grandchildren. If you - like my children and grandchildren - have an ancestor who was a famous author, came to the USA on the Mayflower, was a Native American, knighted in England, or a member of royalty, or the Swiss Guard - tell your grandchildren. If you - like my children and grandchildren - have an ancestor who was struck by lightening, survived a tornado, or who took you fishing and sang funny songs - tell your grandchildren.
If you have old photos of your family (this photo is of my great-great-grandparents and my great-grandma when she was a girl), show them to your grandchildren. Sharing family history will help give your grandchildren a sense of who they are and where they came from. Most importantly, share with them your family history of how God answered prayer - like the time He saved your grandparents from the tornado!
Any time is a great time to share your family history, but since November is Family stories Month, why wait? Make time to share the family stories! You will find more information on this wonderful month at the following link.
