Giant, Frozen Marbles!

 

Winter is here - whether there is snow on the ground, or not, it is still a great time to find fun things to do with the children we love. I do    love   Pinterest for the fun ideas I find on it. I thought I'd share with you one fun thing you might try. Granted, if you live where it is at least cold outside it will be easier to pull this off, but even if it is not cold and/or snowy outside where you live you could try this with your freezer - this is a fun activity you could try and one the children you love will never forget!

The idea is - Giant, Frozen Marbles!!! All you have to do is, fill balloons with water and add food coloring; once frozen cut the balloons off, place around your yard and they look like giant marbles! 

What do you think? I can picture these "giant, frozen marbles" scattered around my yard! You might add a small toy or some type of interesting item in the balloon before it freezes, so when you place the giant, frozen marbles, you can then keep an eye on them so when they melt the children you love can go on a treasure hunt to find the items which were frozen inside!

Or, they could use stones, chisels, or other items - with adult supervision - to break open the frozen marbles to get the surprises inside!

However you decide to use this idea, it is sure to bring some fun and make memories - enjoy!
