Book Review - The World is Awake for Little Ones

A while back I received an absolutely lovely board book for children ages four to eight by Lindsey Davis from Zonderkidz - The World is Awake for Little Ones. Today I am very happy to let you know about it.

Favorite Features -

  1. Illustrations by Lucy Fleming are absolutely fantastic! I love the color, I love all the details, I love all the creatures in this little book! The illustrations will absolutely capture the attention of children - and adults as well.
  2. The story by Lindsey and Joseph Bottum is one which celebrates God's incredible creation. The story did get a bit long, but it is a great tool to help children learn to praise God for the world in which we live.
  3. Sturdy board book will hold up to many readings and many hours of children just looking at the book - which they will want to do this for many, many hours.
Zonderkidz says; "This joyful celebration of simple pleasures will inspire children to be thankful for all of God’s blessings. Perfect for sharing at bedtime or story time, The World Is Awake gives both parents and children a sense of awe and wonder at the world around them. Written by ABC News World News Tonight anchor and bestselling author Linsey Davis, this inspiring and diverse picture book celebrates the everyday miracles which surround us. From blooming flowers in the backyard to the roaring animals at the zoo … the world is awake!

The World Is Awake:

  • Features playful and heartwarming read-aloud rhymes from Emmy-winning ABC News anchor Linsey Davis
  • Includes whimsical and charming illustrations from bestselling artist Lucy Fleming
  • Is a great read for ages 4-8 which celebrates diversity and inspires gratitude for God’s blessings
  • Makes a wonderful gift for birthdays, and gift giving holidays"

The World is Awake for Little Ones is a book which does truly celebrate the everyday blessings which surround us - and makes a wonderful gift for children - and for those who are expecting a child/grandchild as well.
